An apartment in the city of Mitrovica.

Who will you be living with?

Olivia: Cedarville University graduate '19, middle school English teacher

How will you get to school?

Walk 10 minutes.

Is it a Christian school?

The school is not explicitly Christian, though there are many believers on staff.

How can we communicate with you?

I will have Wifi at home and school which is a blessing! You can email me at michalski.deborah@gmail.com. I will also be using WhatsApp and Viber.

KOSOVO FAQs

Where is Kosovo? Southeastern Europe, north of Greece, bordering Serbia, Macedonia, and Albania.

What is the time difference?

6 hours ahead from EST. What is the dominant religion? The country is ~95% Muslim.

How safe is it?

Kosovars respect Americans because we helped them gain their independence from Serbia. The area of Mitrovica is safe and secure.

What language do they speak and do you need to know it?

Albanian. I was told that I do not need to learn any before I go, but that I will be able to pick it up fairly well. I have begun learning some basic words and hope to learn some more before I arrive!
